High Lights:
  • Document!
  • If a student is in your office for discipline, then it needs to be documented in Assertive Discipline
  • "Discipline" access in Aeries can be used as another took for TEACHERS to document in-class progressive discipline.
  • No data is the same as dirty data
  • If a kid is sent home for discipline it is a SUSPENSION.
When you have tried everything!

Questions to ponder:
1. What are you seeing from month to month?
2. Do you have one month that has higher attendance, do you know what might have contributed to the increase?
3. Do you have one month that has a lower attendance, do you know what might have contributed to the increase?
4. What might be one tangible, small thing you can do daily to increase your attendance?

We have been in several meetings with community organizations to facilitate more services for our students and their families. We still have a few Old Navy gift cards. If you have a family in need please contact us or inform the  Community  Liaison at your site, they already have referred Us several families.
  • Last Wednesday we attended to the Food Distribution at P.A.  Walsh. We were very happy to see many families from our district there and also seen them visiting the Bookmobile from Morgan Hill Public Library.

Reminder for our Year 2 teams:
Barrett, Los Paseos, Jackson, Live Oak, and Sobrato.  Please remember to  identify who will now be on your Tier 2 intervention teams. I will contact you to get your list of team members, so that I may register them for the last two training days.
You may have some people who want to move on to the Tier 2 stage. That would be  great.  I want to remind  you that you will need to have a strong Tier 1 team to continue with keeping up and promoting school wide behavior expectations and acknowledgements. I strongly recommend they continue to meet monthly.

For your Tier 2 team. I recommend having an Administrator, School Psychologist, SPED teacher, Gen Ed teacher, counselor,  and possibly campus supervisors.  They will develop targeted interventions. For instance, CICO (check in/Check out) or social skills groups. They will establish ways to communicate about interventions, create process to recommend students in need,  create ways monitor students progress, review data to recommend future action (fade, maintain, or intensify)

A reminder to all schools. Tier 2, Tier 3 and schools that have completed training. I would like to set up a time with you to do a TFI (Tier Fidelity Inventory) at each of your sites. This involves me doing a a walk trough of your site.  It will also include a time to meet with your PBIS teams to answer questions regarding your progress. I will be reaching out to Principals to set up those dates.
As always, please contact me with any questions or assistance you may need.
Kind Regards,
Michele
